No more bones and rattles! The Hi-Tech shaman uses the tools of modern stock and trade. But some things never change. Still there is the age-old custom of drummers forming a circle around the Shaman as he takes on visions. Moods, thoughts and postures rearrange themselves to provide for shamanic form-changes. All is focused on the one thing, whether it be felt, heard or spoken. It is not of this world but that brings no loss. This round is complete. The circle spirals like a smoke ring to other worlds, 'way beyond the veil', far beyond the beyond, in what can truly and only be appreciated as Shaman ritual. -- Y.T.
